Not THE Sword

Reviewed by Steven Pryor, 2009-11-21

Decent strait forward Heavy Metal from the 80's. This is NOT The Sword, just Sword. The Sword = Texas, Sword(disbanded) = Quebec. They do not have any shared members. Thank you [...]

I am a fan of "The Sword" and I hated this

Reviewed by Michael Blase, 2009-11-14

Being a huge fan of the band "The Sword", (makers of the delicious rock-metal awesomeness "Age of Winters" and "Gods of the Earth") I was seriously disappointed with this album. I happened upon it while searching for the sword, and after reading some reviews that reassured me I'd like it a lot, I caved and bought it.

Don't make the same mistake.

This album would be good for people who grew up in the late 60's or 70's. I weep to remember the sound of my heart breaking when I heard the first few minutes of the cd. I could tell right away that I had made a mistake.

DO NOT BUY THIS just because the name is so similar; the music is not at all similar. I say this because there are those who would like it while disliking The Sword. Everyone's preferences are different and I mean no offense to the tastes of others. I'm just saying that I made a mistake and I don't want others like me to make the same mistake.

Thanks.

80s metal, not the modern stuff

Reviewed by fjorner, 2009-10-30

Note that this is very different from the Sword's albums in the 21st century: Age of Winters and Gods of the Earth.

Metalized is 80s metal with a completely different lead singer. Only one song longer than four minutes on this album. It is far less progressive than the modern stuff and I'm not a fan.

Sure, the musicianship is good, but it is not really the same band as the albums from 2006 and 2008.

Head Banging GLORY...

Simple...if you like metal the way it should be without MTV watering it down...the pull out the SWORD (pun intended) and stick it in MTV's you know what.
Sit back and listen to it and rock out...Better yet STAND UP AND SHOUT!

Straight forward heavy metal 80s style without cheese or whine.
Recommend.

Great music, not worth $500 or $50!!

Give me a break. This is a great album, some classic metal but $500!! Bwahahaha! Good luck selling it, how many people who like this music would want to buy this for more than 10 bucks?
